Malcolm Moss MP presents £700 worth of sports
coaching kit to local Wisbech primary school
Last week Malcolm
Moss MP visited the Orchard Primary School in
Wisbech where he watched year 6 children taking
part in football coaching session with coaches
from Wisbech Football club.
Malcolm was visiting
the school to present the children with coaching
kit worth £700 given to the school under the
Barclays Coaching Pack which distribute 1200
coaching kits and equipment each year to teams
and groups in greatest need across the UK.
Malcom Moss MP says:
“The coaching kit
awarded to the school included training bibs,
t-shirts, baseball caps, a coach’s jacket, a
coach’s clipboard, a team bag and tote bags.
These are all extremely valuable items for a
football team and will, I’m sure, serve to help
them in their exploits on the pitch!”
The Barclays
Coaching Pack is part of a wider initiative by
the Football Foundation, the UK’s largest sports
charity which has been investing in grass roots
sport at an unprecedented level since it began
operations in July 2000. They have supported
3300 projects worth a total of more then £490
million however there is much more that needs to
be done.
Malcolm Moss MP
says:
“Schools, sports
clubs and other organisations in North East
Cambridgeshire should be encouraged to apply for
facility, community and education grants of up
to £1million. Support of up to 90% of a project
cost can be provided depending on the specific
needs of the application. More details of the
opportunities available can be found at
www.footballfoundation.org.uk”
